Marriage Monday: 'I am the prize' Edition

 I remember being told how lucky I am to have a husband like Papa. Honestly, I’ve heard that a lot. It’s true. Papa can be amazing. He is a wonderful provider, a loving father, and my best friend. He’s loved me in ways no man has or ever could. He cares for me, protects me and always has my best interest at heart. ⠀

But don’t be mistaken…I am the prize.⠀
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing.” – Proverbs 18:22⠀
Let’s be honest, this good thing was his upgrade. I’ve added significantly to the life of my husband, and I’m not just referring to giving him children. I have held him up when the world tried to pull him down. My prayers have covered him and carried him through times of uncertainty. I know what he wants when we are before the world and I know what he needs behind closed doors. ⠀
Papa didn’t just find a wife. He found his best friend, his helpmeet, his lover, his motivator, his ride or die…HIS QUEEN.⠀
This is not me speaking in vain but me speaking our truth. I am cherished and adored without the expectation of anything in return. But what he gets in return is something that can never be found anywhere else. ⠀
Never forget ladies, you are the prize. You are that good thing. You deserve the world, never accept less.
